[Dailydrool] remotes, phones, eyeglasses

The list here continues to grow along with the Bassets.
Eyeglasses- usually prescription and brand new. Maybe two or three days old.
Now and then a pair of John's reading glasses. The thrill seems to be
chunking the earpieces just enough so that wrapping them with tape is all
that keeps them from rubbing holes in the ear. Now and then someone really
destroys a pair, removing the lenses and twisting the frames...those are
usually the $400 prescription glasses.
Remotes:
Remotes seem to have lost some of their allure, or maybe we just keep them
up. My first Belgian ate so many that I finally took him to the Cable office
and sat him down and said he wanted to apologize but that he said his paws
were too big for the little buttons and he had to use his teeth. I got two
free remotes from the hysterically laughing women behind the counter.
Phones:
My brand new Tundra has an antenna. That it STILL has an antenna is only
because I was faster and more alert than Conley expected me to be. Also
Conley has two places he "hides" when he has something he is not supposed to
have, so whenever I see him in either spot I move fast. Either Zelda or
Mitchell ate a couple of phones in their puppy days.
Conley has destroyed the wood handles on an entire set of knives, chewed up
all my wooden cooking spoons, a spatula, torn the rubber gasket off a very
expensive pan lid, eaten my tooth glue, gotten into the spaghetti
boxes....and I doubt he is done.

I am leaving to go paint. Let Dad deal with them for awhile. LOL
