[Dailydrool] Who knew bed was dangerous

I'm afraid we have to add another item to the dangerous for bassets list.
PIT Ella Marie likes to sleep in our bed. She trained us in on this within
just a few days of arriving at our house. She has to be under the covers.
This time of year in MN that means under the down comforter. So
periodically through out the night she gets in and out of bed as she
overheats, then cools down etc. Each time she returns to bed she whines
until we lift the cover for her (remember she is a PIT). The other night as
I tried to sleep, Ella was rummaging around down by my feet and I thought,
good grief, now I have to lift the covers for her to get out of bed too. So
I tried to lift the covers and they wouldn't budge. I went investigating
and Ella had somehow managed to slip her head between the buttons on the
duvet cover. The cover was forming a tight noose around her neck! I was
able to pull it back off and she is fine. Never a dull moment with bassets
in the house.

Lisa and the MN Woofers,

PIT Ella Marie, Sid, Hank and foster Ruby
