[Dailydrool] Sad Day in S. Carolina

It is with great sadness that I pass along that this morning Holly Noel,  
the Lady Basset Belle, Christmas Angel Hound went to the Rainbow Bridge and 
into  the waiting paws of her beloved Homer.  Holly was mostly deaf, had  
arthritis in both rear legs, and had lost a portion of her upper jaw to bone  
degeneration.  She also had a malignant growth on her back that our vet  
recommended that we not attempt to remove.  Until this past weekend, she  was 
not in pain, was content to snooze on her couch (not the green leather  
gnoshie couch which she nibbled and then so graciously used to raise money to  
help other homeless hounds), and managed to continue to eat her favorite  
treats.  Things went downhill on Valentine's Day, and today she clearly  decided 
that she had had enough.  

It's a very sad day here.
