[Dailydrool] Welcome Lucy

After Louie passed away, I had originally planned to wait until Spring Break to get a companion for Fiona.  When I went back to work after being off for 2 weeks of winter break, Fiona seemed to be lonely, and the tone of her bark as I came through the door, made me think I should speed things up.  And voila!  OBHR had a lot of dogs and more coming in. 

Yesterday Lucy came from Oregon Basset Hound Rescue to live with Fiona and I.  She is a very tiny basset (only 36 lbs!!!)  and a very sweet 3 year old.   The girls are getting along well and have enjoyed wrestling and playing with each other.  They are both sacked out on the couch as I type this.   

My principal is a dog person and kindly let me take 2 days off to help the girls adjust:  Lucy to her new home; Fiona to her new sister. 

We are celebrating here, but sending healing drool to all who need it.
