First, thank you to everyone who emailed about whether or not we should do
the bloodwork before Cowboy gets his teeth cleaned. I got a pretty even mix
of replies. :) Like I said yesterday, Cow is 3.

He has never been under anesthesia but I still felt like he would be fine
and that the bloodwork was just a way for the vet to make a little extra
dough. But surprisingly, the dadslave was insistent that he was willing to
pay the extra $160 for peace of mind and to know cow would be ok. So, I let
him win that debate. :) And, yes, we live in San Diego so vetcare seems
pretty expensive compared to what some of you quoted. After I get laid off
in the next month or so, I am thinking about entering the Vet Tech program,
so hopefully someday I will save some money on vetcare. For now though, I am
not that lucky.

Cow is at the vet now. He was NOT happy about the "no food after 9pm" rule.
Not happy at all! And Rupert is also not happy that Cow got to go on a field
trip w/o him. Lol. Anyway, thanks again. We are sending ooey gooey drool to
all in need...I'm sure Cow will have plenty following his dental. :)
