Hooray, Trooper!  Brenda, I'm sure those wounds are itchy as they heal.  You
can buy guaze in a roll (I use it for ear cleaning) ... maybe if you wrapped
gauze around his neck and rested the E collar on that, just tight enough so
he couldn't shake it off.  Or ask the vet about Benadryl to combat the
itch?

It will be so interesting to hear about Trooper, as he comes to understand
love and that not all humans will hurt him.  I really look forward to your
posts!
