[Dailydrool] spaying during season

My Vet will also spay during a season altho it is a bit harder on the female
because the area is unbelievably vascular, so there is more blood loss than
normally. Now, with the lasers it might not be as bad, I don't know. It
costs more, because it is a bit more difficult. I would advise against it
unless you are stuck, but we do it.
My daughter's Kees was spayed during heat-- we did not know she was in
season, she was a stray. I brought her home two days later and put her in a
crate and my first Belgian spent the next 24 hours trying to squeeze into a
crate half his size...
