While there's not any cruelty involved in using Vicks, it simply does not
work. With our pathetic smeller, one scent can easily overpower another and
dominate. That's the reasoning behind perfume and Fabreze. The Basset's odor
detector is significantly better than ours and studies show that they can
detect all the layers of scent even when one (the distraction) is
significantly stronger than the others. So applying Vicks, fore or aft (for
all you PBF members) is a waste of time and money.
