[Dailydrool] fires have started here in Mt. also.

20 minutes down the hiway and in the back country.   also, a few miles 
up my mtn. road..........just a little one/tenth of an acre the fire 
dept. said when i called.   When i saw 2 helicopters flying DIRECTLY 
over me here at the rescue, I felt ill to my stomach and 
thought.........OH NO, HERE WE GO AGAIN?????????  but, it is 
contained..........and after aug. 07 when we had to evacuate.....I had 
all my trees around my cabin cut and hauled off and now i am trying to 
keep weeds down and the meadow with a sprinkler going 
24/7.................at least right by the bassets back yard.  I sold 
all my 13 risers years ago that watered my entire meadow of just five 
acres but..........could not handle all that with my crappy back even 
after major surgery on it........so, here we go again.   Daily 
now.............I wake up and hope no fires break out........the weather 
prediction is......heat.........some rain with thunderstorms at 
intervals here and there.  Cookie up in Kalispell keeps me abreast of 
weather conditions around there.
I am sending as much spare drool as we all can muster up to send to Dawn 
at Daphneland.    Does anyone know which other rescues have to evacuate?
Also, PetConnection up in LIbby, MT. is our associates in 
rescue............and our major Foster HOme...........they are way 
tucked into the mountain and if anything ever happens up around there, 
we would have to pull over 28 dogs, one horse, 2 goats, many cats, etc 
etc  and haul em all down here?????????  BOY........in summer.......when 
fires break out,,,,,,,,,,it is very hard to even take off for a day of 
vacation or leisure.

Some great news though....... after 3 years here in rescue........our 
bonded pair Peggy and Lady got adopted and it is now official.  I get to 
visit them , too cause they are so so close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

buckets along to you all.    with sincere hopes that we make it thru 
this summer season.............I remain...............hopeful and happy
