Hi everyone,

We just wanted to touch in to say hello. We've had a busy last couple months
and I just haven't had much spare time to spend online emailing about the
boys. Everything is going good though. We have had non-stop visitors this
summer, including my sister and new nephew, a cousin from Portland, and
various friends. James and I traveled North to Lake Tahoe for a few days
last week and he is currently on a 9 day camping trip in Northern
California, while I slave away for cookie money, and manage these wild
rascals. Below are some houndy highlights from our last couple weeks.

OEBE: While dogsitting a friends Staffie, the boys and her decided to get
into a case of oatmeal and spread it lovingly throughout my living room. Oh
and did I mention that they did this while I was showering after spending
several hours cleaning the whole house for guests who were on their way
over? "Awesome, thanks boys!"

ROBBERS: Cowboy awoke me a few nights ago at 3:45 in the morning. He was
visibly upset, whining and scratching at the bed. I went downstairs to check
everything out and he starts howling relentlessly. Being that it is 4 in the
morning and I have to be up in 2 hours for work, I wasn't too happy.
However, the next day while chatting with the neighbor, I learned that
several cars were broken into that night, right on our street. So of course,
I praise Cowboy thinking he was trying to alert me. However, I'm not so sure
it was a good deed after all, because he has since woken me 2 more times, at
the same exact time, just whining and wanting attention. Of course each
time, I get scared, thinking I am going to catch someone in the
neighborhood. :)

SH*T: Today is my day off, so I decided to walk the boys early so I could
get going on my day. Of course, right as we round the corner towards home,
Cow finds a nice stinky pile of poo to roll all over. Grrr! Totally not part
of my plans, I was forced to bathe him. Now Rupert won't stop barking out of
jealousy that he didn't get a bath also.

Ah the life of a dog mom... :)

Hoping everyone is doing well, and hoping to make more time to write and
keep up with our fellow droolers.

xoxo,
Kacy with Cowboy and Rupert
