Hi Anita,

I understand the concept of rescue and how it works. My next door neighbor is treasurer of a rescue and she has 4 rescued dogs. As they are all wonderful, she still has one that is 3 and still pee's in the house. He never did at the foster but does now. I know that there are many wonderful dogs that are rescue dogs and I am all for it, but in my case, I just wasn't willing to take any chances with an older dog with all the kids around. I would much rather deal with all the "joys" of puppyhood than take a chance on an older dog that just might not like all the little one's around. I have seen it personally where the dog is one way in foster and then there are those times when they change a bit when in their forever home. I'm not at all implying that all are like that, but I have enough going on in my life that I would hate to get attached to a dog, then take the chance of having to get rid of it due to issues, that actually happened to us many years ago. So, puppy it is.
