[Dailydrool] Hot (which it isn't here yet)

Heard about an oscillating fan for the patio with water hooked up
(haven't seen them, but apparently they exist) that works like a kind of blowing
mister. It is very dry here in Utah, so misting works great!

When it is hot, I carry a water bottle and dump it on my dogs
shoulders, right behind their collar, and rub it in--Kind of runs off the fur if
you don't. I do think it helps, because the hot, panting dog seems cooler and
happier. Don't know how you deal with humidity. Hate it. And the water on the
shoulders probably wouldn't work as well...

I now have a bigger house, 2 dog doors and 5 water bowls, inside. Previously
had one dog door and small house and not really room for more than one water
dish. I took a couple plastic buckets (not too tall, basset height-you can use empty
ice cream buckets). Put a large, heavy, clean rock (or rocks) in the bottom, filled
them with water and left them in the shade. Even if I was away all day,
I knew the dogs could not spill the water and they would always have some available.
