You may find that taking a hound to the groomer, instead of the vet's, is a 
better option. My groomer usually has less trouble with our hounds, and 
costs a whole lot less. She will do all four paws for just $5.00.

Jane is the only one who causes terrible trouble for groomer or vet. She 
commonly bites down on her tongue, and you have blood all over the place 
before the toes are trimmed.  Even a muzzle doesn't stop her anguish over 
having those nails done (which is why I refer to it as trimming her 
toes--you'd think that's what we were doing.)
