<< L I have given up and just let the vet do it. I realize she didn?t spend
years in vet school to trim toe nails, but she offers the service and they
give her no problem at all.>>
You may find that taking a hound to the groomer, instead of the vet's, is a
better option. My groomer usually has less trouble with our hounds, and
costs a whole lot less. She will do all four paws for just $5.00.
Jane is the only one who causes terrible trouble for groomer or vet. She
commonly bites down on her tongue, and you have blood all over the place
before the toes are trimmed. Even a muzzle doesn't stop her anguish over
having those nails done (which is why I refer to it as trimming her
toes--you'd think that's what we were doing.)
