[Dailydrool] the urine debate

Well, we have yet another urine debate at my house. Seems to never end. It
is either Maggie or Mazzie, both female bassets. Both are spayed. Maggie was
spayed at age 3 and never has been pregnant or had a litter of pups. We had
her since she was 10 1/2 weeks old. Mazzie was spayed at age 2 right before
we adopted her and we assume she has never had a litter. Anyhow, both girls
go to bed in the office at night on the dog couch. The office opens up into
the livingroom so it is an open floor plan. When the Dad slave gets up in
the morning, Maggie has moved position to one of the dog couches during the
middle of the night and Mazzie is still on the dog couch. Mazzie has a
history of urinary issues, but where she wets her dog bed. The issue this
time is that one of the bassets is getting off the couch during the night,
going into the living room and urinating in front of the same stand
repeatedly! We are cleaning it up with a rug cleaner and using natures
miracle too on it. Not the same spot. Just the same vaccinity. Neither is
dribbling urine or licking themselves. Neither is on any meds for anything.
This has been going off and on for about a month. My gut feeling is that it
is Maggie. I don't think she is incontinent or that it is spay incontinence.
I believe she is just not able to hold it through the night anymore. Mazzie
will get the guilty look and hang her head if she has done anything wrong
and tattles on herself anyhow. Maggie could stand in the middle of the trash
knocked all around the kitchen which she just did and wag her tail. Maggie
is going in for vaccinations on Friday. Anything I should as the doc about
as in testing her for something? I don't believe it is a UTI. She has to be
begged to go out and then we wait and wait for her to find a place to potty
and she goes freely and a long flow of urine. I know enough about UTI and
incontinence from Mazzie to see the signs. Mazzie just had the whole work up
in January where she had x-rays, cytology, bladder dye, etc. Came back as
just some inflammation for her. She healed up fine. Any ideas?
