Adrianne,
  That is exacly what our Caseymae had when she was 9 years old.  It became an extremely large tumor on her side and it started oozing and became infected.  We took her to the 24 hour emergency hospital because our local vet would not touch it.  She recovered nicely and lived 2 more years!!  Drool slave Sue, Tilly, phoebe and Caseymae ATB
