Dear Queen Olive - tell your Mama to go to Wal-Mart or any other pharmacy
and buy some Co Q-10 (may also be called Co Enzyme Q-10) and start giving it
to you every day. ( 50 mg twice a day should probably be plenty. Give twice
a day so it's always in the bloodstream.) The Co Q-10 will help your heart
beat stronger and will make you feel better and have more energy, and it
will not harm you or interact with your other medications. I had Dachshunds
for many years, they are prone to heart failure, and I always gave Co Q-10
to the dogs with heart problems. If I'd forget to give it to them one day,
the next day they'd be lethargic and act like they didn't feel good. This
is also given to people with heart failure, it's very good stuff. It won't
cure the heart problems, but it will help you have more energy and feel
better, it'll improve your quality of life.

Don't expect your Vet to tell you about it, they are not trained in natural,
herbal or homeopathic medicines. I asked my Vet years ago if it was okay to
give, and they said sure, go ahead if you think it does any good, it won't
hurt the dogs. I found it did a lot of good. Co Enzyme Q-10 is a substance
that all our bodies produce, and like many other things, we produce less as
we get older, and depending on our health issues we may need to supplement
that amount. DH has heart problems and his Cardiologists told him to take
it every day, same thing with my Dad, he had heart failure and the
Cardiologists told him to take it. Very good stuff, and not expensive
either.

Greetings to all my friends -- This has been a ruff week for me, but let me
say I am still here and feeling much better. The mom-slave took me to the
vet last Monday because I was getting short of breath coming upstairs. She
took blood and pictures and then sent me off to the ER where I had to spend
the night in any oxygen crate. They pumped me full of meds and by Tuesday I
was feeling better. So, I am back home, ruling the roost and getting back to
my normal activities, although mom says my social life may be curtailed
somewhat.
(Olive was diagnosed with the beginning of congestive heart failure, but the
ER vet said we caught it early. She is on lasix and enapril. She has also
gotten a little picky about food, but I suspect that's due to the meds. She
doesn't know she's eating cat food at the moment, but it works!)

On that note, I have been remiss in fudge hawking and pledge begging. I am
15, and don't know how long I'll be around to raise money for the homeless
hounds, so I hope to make this year a good one. Once again I'm offering
fudge (still only $15 per pound; $19.95 for a pound mailed anywhere in the
US. Check with the slave on postage for larger amounts). We take checks
or PayPal at mjdgwd at juno.com. There are 15 flavors available - all proceeds
until the middle of April go to my BW pledge; after that, they go to
Mishgun. I'm going to ask Aunt Bonnie to put my website back up - that will
help!

And send a little drool too -- I can always use it.
