Basset maintenance   While they have problems like the midgets do they really are very sturdy like Mac Trucks.  That is what one vet told me when carrying Miss Becky to the back for a nail trim cuz Miss Becky was almost bigger than she was, Taking her to back cuz she was a drama queen for sure

I love them and all breeds have their problems  Bassets are fighters so if they get sick they
mostly make it
