[Dailydrool] Elder Clara....

Elder Clara's picture on the calendar page made me think of an old basset we got from the Animal Rescue years ago...My friend at work came and told mr about her. I didn't think twice about going to see her, I even made my husband go , mainly because I don't drive.  He had his doubts, I didn't.  She came home with us...wanted nothing to do with us or the kids, there were 3 at the time, she made four...She was skin and bones, cysts the size of softballs...After some surgery and food, she finally came around.  She was always to herself,  not a groupie.. She kept getting these alwful cysts,  more surgery, she was well worth it.  We had her five years, she was already about 7 or 8 when we got her.She is forever in my memories, as are all my kids.. Her name was Cleo..and is greatly missed.  So I know all about how great Seniors are...Even though I have my limit of 5, I keep watching and tell everyone to get a basset from the rescues...I hope they listen.
