Laura, heartfelt sympathies to you, I wish that I could be there to give
you a big hug. I have had to go through this type of thing a few times
with my hounds that are now ATB, as I am sure that most of the droolers
out there have also had to do.  Assisting a Hound to the bridge is the
hardest thing that I have ever had to do in my life, but like you we
don't want to see them suffer. If the time comes just be there with him,
no hound should have to start that journey alone.  It is hard but it's a
way to make that last show of love to your beloved Kroozer and then hand
him over to the ATB hounds to look after until you both meet again.  And
once he crosses that bridge he will be young, strong with no more pain
or illness. Free to play and eat from the great buffet.
I know that he is a blessed hound in that he had such a loving family to
look after him the last 10 months. 

Blessed be to you Laura and Kroozer, and to all of those whose hounds
have made the journey to the bridge.
