Happy gotcha' day Clara!  What a happy face on that little girl.

Just my two cents worth about the vet who said Bassets aren't prone to bloat - we lost our first rescue, Sweet Jake, to bloat.  It about broke our hearts.  Don't let them gobble down their food and don't feed them or let them have too much water after exercising.  Good luck and no more bloat for all!
