[Dailydrool] fur turning white

I know this is going to sound goofy.  But I have a red/white Basset whose hair around her hips is turning white.   My holistic vet says it is not natural for animals to gray or white out on their bodies.   graying of the muzzle is different .
I know I have  a 10 year old Basset and a 10 year old beagle and except for their muzzles the rest of their hair is just as dark as it always has been.
Anyways the vet did some acupuncture treatments on my Red/white and some of the color did come back.   something about the flow of energy.    Send it was goofy
