  _____

I just got home from Alexa's and JP's. I can't wrap my mind around the fact
their home and rescue is gone. The place is a total loss. Every thing
gone, well not the most important things their lives and most of the
animals.
Yes there are many things to be thankful for, they are safe, and most of the
kids got out safe and sound. A dear sweet senior basset girl by the name
of Wilma made her way to the Bridge and two wonderful birds Sunny and Jerick
and the Paul's cat also made their way to the Bridge.
All the other bassets are safe and sound. One old boy came home with me his
name is Al , he needs medical care so I had the best set up for him . I want
to thank all the folks that came and took bassets home with them. Becky who
sent an e-mail to the drool came and took a basset to foster for us. Joni
and Patty took care of making sure every dog got a place to stay for now and
took names so we would remember who had who. Alexa and JP have been doing
basset rescue in Washington state for over 30 years. They are two of my
dearest friends. I know time will heal this and again there are so many
things to be thankful for but the tears still come. Thank you one and all
for you help tonight.
If you need to contact Alexa please call or e-mail me.
Thank you all again Suz and Sandi for posting and getting the word out and
every one for their thoughts and prayers, the Paul's are going to need them
along with all our rescue bassets, pawhaps we can get some of these kids
homes , now that would be a prayer answered!
