[Dailydrool] Carrots & other comments

Storm ATB loved carrots. He would go to the fridge and foow for them (he
had a reverse bark, kinda like is was barking in on inhalation instead
of exhalations) he would foow and dance for them.  He would bounce up
and down on his front paws and wiggle back and forth with his back end.
IT WAS SOOO CUTE!  He would also do the dance for lettuce veins/stems. I
only like the leafy part of Romaine lettuce and would give the hounds
the veins.  One night I thought that he was going to bite my
mother-in-law when she was making the salad and wouldn't give him the
veins. He was foowing and dancing and then he stopped looked up at her &
dropped that big paw on her foot...Thunk!  "She asked what do you want
Storm?"  Storm gave her this look like "give me those lettuce veins and
nobody gets hurt"  I thought I would die laughing.  I told her that it
would be in her best interest to give him some of those veins.  I miss
that silly hound!  Colt and Ruger love carrots, not to keen on the
lettuce though.  I mostly give baby carrots, but my hounds will chew
their food...they like crunching it up. I have giving them big carrots
in the past but they seem to like the baby carrots better.  I can tell
when they have had to many carrots because I see the carrot bits in
their pooh when I demine the yard. I think it depends on each hound, if
they are a gulper then the big carrots, and if they chew their food then
whichever carrot they prefer.  Colt and Ruger's favorite treat is
chicken jerky (doggie crack), sweet peppers, pear, apple, baby carrots,
sweet potato chips (dehydrated) yogurt with Theracoat sprinkles, doggie
ice cream, ice(after their walks or lure chase), and 3 Dogs and a Chick
cookies.

Lillie eats banana's?  Wow she is the first basset that I have heard of
eating banana's.  They'll eat them in ice cream, but not on their
own...hhhmmmm maybe I'll try freezing them?  See if the will eat a
bananacicle.

Maggie Wags, Is your Momma's sister okay?  Wow...I didn't think that
Annie was that Evil?  Momma might have to invest in her own winery if
Annie keeps this up.

We are so glad the Jacques & Gus are doing better.  We will continue to
send healing drool their way until they are 100%.
We are still saying prayers and sending drool to Trixie and her momma,
blessed be!

Hounds locking the slaves out of the BUV is just another reason why
slaves need keyless entry on the BUV's!

Pam, I love the comment about "bassets should come with a warning
sticker" how true.  I work to support my hounds! (pay the mortgage on
the big dog house, buy them good quality food, and pay the vetman)
Those hounds need to get a J-O-B!!!  They should also come with a life
time free wine coupon too.  ;)^  

I am glad to hear that the 5 FL seniors were not put down. I will be
sending a donation come pay day to help with their care.  Wish I could
do more.  The boys will be sending home finding drool for the girls!
