[Dailydrool] Dodger Blue at the Bridge

I feel your pain as well. When I read this about Dodger it was as if you
were talking about our Molly. Molly would have been 13 years old on Dec. 1.
But this past Friday we helped her cross the Bridge as well. It was a shock
to us as the day before she was running and playing... Lord knows she was
eating good. Then she went off her food as well as water on Friday. You
could look into her eyes and it was like our Molly wasn't there. Yet she
would give you that look that would make any doubt go away... she told you
she was ready to go cross the Bridge. She was the last link to Tim's father
since he past almost 9 years ago. But now she's up with "dad" playing and
acting like a puppy once again. We know that dad has missed her very much
so. Like without two Bassets will never be the same. So we are going to be
looking for another Basset very soon.

I need to stop here as I can go on and on about our Molly.......

take care,
Belinda

On Saturday I had to make the hardest decision of my life. I had to allow my
little buddy Dodger Blue to go to the bridge. He was diagnosed with cancer
two weeks ago and has been getting weaker ever since. He stopped eating
completely on Thursday and by Saturday afternoon he was unable to stand up
or walk. He was suffering and gave me that look that said it was time. We
are heartbroken. In a few days I will post Dodger Blue's story for everyone
to read.
