Betsy,

I am sure there are many of us that have gone through Pano with
our youngsters. There is really nothing to worry about as pano is
simply growing pains, the same ones you may have had as a child.
Rest and meds when there is pain can help but until the growing process
is completed there is not a lot you can do. The Drool home page has some
really good info on pano.

Like the article stresses please don't let someone talk you into surgery
for joint incongruity. Bassets joints are built different but that doesn't mean
they need surgery.

Sadie Maye developed Pano at a little over 5 months old that lasted
about 6 months, off and on. I did limit her to short walks, she had pain meds
when needed and I gave her a glucosamine/Chondroitin supplement.
Though I wonder if maybe the SOD Boswellia would help with this?
(Sandy, Debbie can you chime in on this?)

We are sending Lily No Pain Drool and hope that her growing pains are
soon a thing of the past. We are also sending No Worry Drool to the
MomSlave.

Droolz,
Karen and The Dog House Gang
