[Dailydrool] Anyone dealt with pano?

My 9 month old Gabe has pano.  It has moved back and forth between a
front leg and a back leg.  He has been sedated and had his entire body
thoroughly x-rayed in different positions to make sure there were no
other problems causing his limp.  He was in so much pain that he stopped
eating and lost weight a while back.  The vet had us try prednesone
first.  All this did was make him seem spaced out and lethargic - he
would barely move all day and still seemed to be in pain.  I wasn't
satisfied with how this was going, so we went back to the vet.  Sod
boswellia (sp?) didn't seem to do much either.  He is now on Deramaxx
and is like a new dog - running, playing and into everything like a
puppy should be.  I'm not crazy about the possible side effects, but I
am very happy with the QUALITY of life that this medication has given
him.  I am hopeful that he will outgrow this and not need the medicine
in time.
