Most of us who are connected to rescue have heard it all before, and often do not believe the stories people give when they hand over their pets. 

Hearing a story like Holly's proves there are good people who genuinely feel it is in the dog's best interests to give them up. It is good to be reminded of that.

Of course, it also reminds us there are unspeakable people who dispose of unwanted pets in unspeakable ways.

I am so glad little Holly has ended up in a terrific home - and that the people who cared for her before can relax and know that too.
