[Dailydrool] Coyote warning

Below is an article that I found online under google news/pets. I have
been seeing a lot of similar stories from around the country. Nevada,
Arizona, etc. Now New Jersey.  These coyotes sightings and dog/cat
snatchings are not just in rural areas, the coyotes are coming into the
suburbs. I saw one story from a suburb of Las Vegas of one attacking a
small child in broad daylight.  With the loss of habitat and human
settlements encroaching on their territory I don't imagine this issue
going away anytime soon.  I don't know if a coyote would go after a full
grown basset or not, but I'm sure that it would a buppy or a pack of
coyotes would go after an adult. So everyone that lives any place other
than inside a big city please be careful and keep a watchful eye on your
hounds and other pets.  I live inside the city limits of a small
city/large town and I have seen opossums, raccoons, even foxes in our
neighborhood.  Black bears & alligators have been spotted just 4 miles
away, so I am sure that it is a matter of time before them & the coyotes
start cruising the neighborhood for an easy meal....lots of stray cats
and squirrels for an appetizer to draw them in.
