The boys and I are so sorry that Abbie has made her trip to the bridge.  Take heart that she is once again a young and healthy dog running the fields at the bridge and eating at the grand buffet.  May she live forever in the magic of your memories.

We are so happy that Arnie is back to his old self again.  Cathy, congratulations on the new hound supporting job...with a pay raise, BONUS! 

Well the weather has cooled off here in the Florida Panhandle and with that the itchies seem to have subsided here. I am still wiping the boys down when they come in but there is no signs of readness like before, just beautiful pink tummies, and their snooters and paws are healing up and getting back to normal too.  They are even off all of the medications. YEAH!  This summer was brutal here with the heat, humidity and the allergies. 3 months of hell for me and the boys.  Our vet said that it was a very bad summer here for allergies, not sure what everyone was allergic too but it had a lot of doggies in misery.  Hope that Nigel, Llewis, Conley, Mr. Cooper, Maggie Wags and all of the rest of the hounds that are being tormented by the itchies find relief soon...Maybe you all need a fall vacation to the FL Gulf Coast for a little sand, surf and sun.  

P.S. The squirrels are driving me and the boys nutz.  Do you know how hard it is to try to get a hunting dog not to bark when it is hunting or has something tree'd when that is what it was breed to do?  And the squirrels seem to be tormenting them into barking to drive me crazy. Seriously folks I want to pull out my .38, pop a cap in some squirrel booty and have a squirrel Bar-B-Que.  

Drool to all the sick, itchy or injured houndies.  Heart healing drool to all the humans that have broken hearts from loosing a houndie or dealing with a sick, itchy, or injured hound.
