[Dailydrool] Pain medications

Has anyone had any experience with the pain medication Tramadol?  Recent started Alice on it for pain from her tumor previously had been taking Meticam for general aches and pains. Alice had a bad night last week tumor was bleeding and she would not leave it alone. Attempted to sedate her with some Ace but did not seem effective. Has done well on Tramadol every 12 hours. Has put a lot of pep in her step, she has been playing with Maggie and Bailey and actually sleeping through the night. She was given enough for 10 days. Called the vet to see about long term use. Agreed to this but warned of kidney functions decreasing. Decide to use as she is so much more at ease and happier. At the good old age of 13years and 361 days opted for comfort than worrying about kidney functions. Just wondering if anyone had any experience or comments on the drug.
