[Dailydrool] Adopted our First Bloodhound

I have a few bassethound/bloodhound friends and they had been telling  
me it was going to happen. I had been waiting for some time, knew the  
right one would come along. Sadly, she has the background of  
abandonment and neglect. Her first angel saved her and took her  
straight to the vet and had her spayed (already had a litter with her  
first heat cycle), shots and health program. We think she may be 1.5  
years old and petite for her breed, but instead of getting to grow,  
she had to produce puppies. Our bloodhound rescue director thinks she  
may have one more growth spurt by the time she is two with her

She and the bassets have become fast friends. She sometimes lays on  
the ground to play with the bassets. It reminds me of Disney's "The  
Ugly Dachshund" with Suzanne Pleshett. We are learning how to walk on  
a lead right now instead of spinning mama into the ground. I am so in  
love with these hounds, can't wait to get home and see what they have  
done!
