 Becky - just wanted to say thank you for recommending KOE for stubborn odors!  I ordered some and have been using it for about a week and all I can say is WOW!  It really, really works!  Since it's so concentrated I only added a few drops into some hot water along with an ounce or so of white vinegar in my Libman Freedom Mop.  I love this mop 'cause you can choose your own cleaning solution so it's perfect for this.  (Rubbermaid and O'Cedar also make a similar type.) After blotting up any excess, I mopped the area and voila!  No more smell!   I use it on everything; tile and hardwood floor and the concrete floor in the garage.  The wood floors have never looked better and no more "houndie" odors!  

If anyone else is having problems with lingering odors from "accidents" in the house, give it a try.  If you Google it you can find it less expensively than retail.
