[Dailydrool] Gus is16!!!!!

My sweet old man Gus is 16 today. A year ago we celebrated his 15th birthday 
with a bash thinks he would not be with me for another birthday. Well I guess he 
had other plans. As many of you know he was diagnosed with Canine Cognitive 
Disorder (CCD or Doggie Alzheimer's) one month before his birthday last year. 
this dease has tried to take him twice in the last year but between good care 
and his spry chariture he still goes to the dog park does not miss a meal. What 
else does a 16 year old need.
Last night it was just me and Gussie. the other two were with their Auntie Alexa 
for a sleep over. It has been along time since it has been just me and him. I 
shared popcorn with him and tucked him in to bed. It was so nice to just dote on 
him. This morning he got Vienna sausages with his breakfast for a big birthday 
treat, we will go to the latte stand just the two of us for coffee and cookies. 

I have had Gus for 8 years. He came to live with me when he was just 7 1/2. We 
have had many great adventures over the years. 

My goal for him now it to keep him active as his old body will allow give him 
love and a great warm home.
