HI All
Mom Slave to Pw. Gus here. I want to thank Queen Pawtunia for giving Gus the PW.
title.
He has been a part of my life for over 8 years now and I think he was
training me from the get go. The first day I met him he ran to the back
passenger side of my car and he has rode there every since. He always rides on
the back passenger seat taken his big paw smacking the window so I will roll it
down. I ride with his back window down year round rain, shine and even in the
snow. He has always had the royal treatment in my house. I make sure where ever
he has chosen to sleep there is a nice cushy bed there. Doesn't everyone had a
dog bed in the bathroom. As he has aged I make sure his food is to his liking
plus when the "LOOK" is given his snack need are met.
If I was sewing he would come up to the sewing room and remind me he was
hungry or need to go out. I would stop what I was doing to satisfy his needs. He
is very persuasive.
He is a boy that loves the dog park. On my days off there are very few are
spent totally at home, we hit the park usually right before dinner in the winter
and after in the summer. Even at 16 he get all excited to get his sniff on at
the dog park.
Gus has always spent my longest work days hanging at Aunt Joni's with her
basset clan. He has help raise 2 pups of hers and taught them how to play. He
has help with many fosters at Aunt Joni's with his calm friendly personality
which makes the foster feel so comfortable.
Gus and been my travel companion until this year when his CCD became to bad.
A new place gets him very upset and can send him spiraling down. So I truly
pained me to leave him at home the first time but it for the best to keep his
world as consistent as possible.
CCD has taken his mind but every once in awhile there will be a glimpse of
the old Gussie Mussie bight eyed and excited about something.
Gus is my First Basset and has been a pwince to me the whole time. Now he
has a title I could not be any prouder.
Thank You Again
