[Dailydrool] Blood test for allergies

The food elimination diet is the only one that worked for Sadee Maye. We started with one food,
which was chicken with the lowest possible sodium and processing I could find. As much as I wanted
organic $5/lb was way out of my price range. She was on that for 2 weeks. I added in one item at a time
every 3 weeks but only small slivers at first until I could work her up into the new meat in the next week.

Luckily my girl has a snout bump that will raise up within hours if she eats something she is allergic too.
The bad part is that during the elimination diet the itching is usually worse during the first month or two
while the offending allergens are working out of their system.

The elimination diet is not an easy or simple. You have to make sure that everyone is on board and no one slips
them a nibble of anything that is not on the diet no matter how much they beg or how pathetic those brown eyes
look. Friends and family were threatened within an inch of their life if they gave my girl any treats not on her meal
plan. I finally went for the shock and told everyone if you feed her something she is allergic to you are killing her. You
may do it quickly or slowly but you are still killing my baby...So don't do it! (I think we now call that going "Marlene".)
I call it being a good Momma.

Maggie Wags we are waiting on your tests to come back before we finish looking for foods. We are narrowing
down the list.
