[Dailydrool] voting & Burfday

If you haven't looked at the Senior Hounds Abound calendar voting contest
yet, you really should. So many good entries and hard to make a decision.
There are not only pictures, but a summary about each hound. I enjoyed
looking at them while I had my morning coffee today.

I would also like to wish a Happy Be-lated Burday to Jackie Chazey. I'm so
forgetful to email you around your birthday. I did remember and have
something to send out to you, but I want to stop by a doggy bakery and get
something for your 8 bassets. Jackie's birthday was in late August. Jackie
is well known to rescue and has 8 bassets.

I do believe that my Mazzie is not feeling well again. In January of 2010 we
put her through a ton of testing to determine if she had bladder cancer. The
results came back negative. Well, she vomited up her breakfast
yesterday--all of it, undigested. Nothing since. She also urinated on the
carpet two nights in a row while we were sleeping. Doesn't happen during the
day when the kids are home to let her out. She is not asking to go out
excessively, she is not drinking excessive water, etc. She had lost 7 pounds
in January from the previous time she was there. It looks to me like she is
thinner again. She is 8 years old (approximate) as she is from the Humane
Society 6 years ago. She knows she is urinating on the carpet because when I
come downstairs she will hide her head down and put her tail between her
legs. Poor girl. We've tried the hormones, the herbal remedies, etc. We've
looked into spay incontinence, etc. She has fusion in her spine from L1 and
down so the vet believes there is a possibility the nerve is caught into her
fusion. Her fusion gets worse as she ages, which is proven by x-ray. Her
stance to have a BM or urinate is totally off and she is practically sitting
down and sideways. Does anyone have experience with this? I know I have
asked this before. I know--take her to the vet. Just hoping for some other
insight.
