[Dailydrool] Four years ago

I cannot believe that tomorrow will be four years since coming home from
work one afternoon and finding three young basset hounds sitting on the
drainage ditch in the middle of nowhere. The three which I dubbed the Rio
Trio because they were not far from the Rio Grande are still here, now
older  and more settled.  Mommy Megan is now six years and the two "kids"
Abbie and Bo are now five. They think they run the house, but they have to
answer to my version of Elder Clara. That is Miss Lori Lu, the foster from
Oklahoma City who came to me via the truckers route. She has moved in, taken
over and lets all know that she is in charge. Never did know that a hound
could roar, but I do now. She lets out a big bellow, and everyone listens.
So, to my little Rio Trio, I wish you happy gotcha day, and will never
regret stopping that afternoon.  Gotta love em.
Terry and the hounds home to the Rio trio and Ms Lori Lu. and all the
others.
