Georgia, so sorry we missed you this past weekend. The Drooler Tent was
there, we were under the green canopies up by the stage. Unfortunately, in
my hast to get on the road Friday morning I ran off without the "Droolers
Welcome" sign. I think I need to have the logo attached to the top of the
canopy so I can't forget it next year.

At least Eugene finished the race under his own power. Jan's Boomer went
flat basset at the start line. I didn't bother to enter any of mine this
year. Last year I entered Buster in the boxer relay race. He rolled over on
his back & refused to get dressed let alone run.

This year the theme was the Swinging 40's so Romeo & Juliet went as USO
entertainers & their wagon was decorated as a stage. Their wagon took 3rd
place. Buster represented those who have fought for the rights of
bassets in his General Patton costume & he rode in an army tank aka wagon.
His costume took 2nd place. We all had a great time!!

It was great to see so many people brave the elements & come to support the
bassets! After all, it's all about the bassets!!

Look for us next year!!
