[Dailydrool] Rosie and strange eating habits

We have this same problem with our Ella. Sometimes she gets a stomach ache
and her response is to start eating everything in sight from massive amounts
of grass to unfortunately, carpet. Either one can be bad but carpet is
especially dangerous as you have found. We have never figured out what
triggers the attack but her response to it is much more of an issue than the
original tummy ache. If we catch her starting to obsessively lick the floor
we know an attack is on the way. We give her a gas ex, a
metaclopromide/Reglan, and a cookie and she gets a 10-15 minute rest in her
crate. After that she usually does calm down and it is safe to let her out
again. When we leave, we block off the carpeted area of the house as a
precaution.
