[Dailydrool] Spring is in the air...

Many signs of spring have sprung at our house.
 
I think Schroeder has finally come out of winter hibernation.  I haven't
seen my boy this playful in months.
His daily routine, eat, outside, couch, repeat. All winter.  Now he is
in and out and all around.  Hanging out with us.
Having fun and playing again.  I sometimes wonder if he had a little bit
of depression after Maya left for the bridge.

Little Miss Sophie...last night on our evening walk around the yard,
found a nice splat of bird poop in the mud.
Stop, drop and roll.  Repeat. Repeat again.  It is always funny to watch
her roll in things.  Mostly dirty laundry.
The bird poop I was not too crazy about.

Sophie also kicked out a baby bunny from under a bush by our shed.  Not
a fun event with 4 dogs.
I was headed for the pooper scooper when I see a tuff of fur running in
front of Sophie.
I think the bunny had a leg up on her, but OH NO...Boxer Alert goes
off....2 bassets and 2 boxers, that poor bunny never had a chance.

They cornered it against a tree, as I'm running down through the yard
yelling leave it...Wild man Apollo, looks at me,
Grabs the bunny and takes off sprinting around the yard.  I'm yelling
drop it.  He drops, 2 seconds, picks back up and runs.
So much for obedience training...

After 3 or 4 full laps around our yard chasing him, with Cash, Schroeder
and Sophie in tail behind me, I finally get it out of his mouth.  

I am holding the bunny, it took 2 breaths and then was gone.  UGH!  I'm
glad I don't have neighbors within sight anymore.  I'm sure I looked
like a crazy woman, with the dogs, running around.  

The area around the shed is now the look out post for rabbits, Sophie
has gone into full hound hunting mode.
And the others wait in various spots around the shed, hoping she kicks
out another every time she crawls under the shed...

Should make for an interesting spring at our house.
