My Big Man is 10 today. He was the first puppy that the Chazey family ever bought at a puppy store, and before you bash me about this, it should have been a recognizable sign to me that Mom had dementia. I thought she was grieving the passing of my father, just about a year before. Nevertheless, he is a wonderful boy, King Alpha despite having a lot of health issues. He had pano until he was 4, was hit by a reckless bike rider as a pup, and is now bike phobic, (when we go out for walks, and no matter how far from home we are, if he sees a bike, WE MUST RUN HOME, and I am fat and out of shape, I don't do RUN well, but I do the best I can for him.) He adores kisses, and it is a part of our daily regiment. At least 2x a day we snuggle and smooch. The upside for him, I give him a massage, the upside for me, I shed him out. He is a win win boy.
Now, not to take away from Big Man, I must say something about Little Man aka Pierre jr.. He acted as he wanted to potty early yesterday morning, so I leashed him up, and we start to go out, and I remembered to bring cheese as a distraction, but couldn't get the darn thing open in time. The lawn crew showed up, and jr. scared them so much they passed in the street rather than the sidewalk. The guy I pay came close, and I finally got a chunk of cheese in jr's (CGC) mouth, and all was good. I have two alpha boys, the men, keeping our house safe. The middle men are warriors as well, but not so fierce as Big and Little.
Marlene, my condolences to your son regarding the burns. I once spilled tomato soup on my hand, and it was a wicked burn. I cannot even imagine a chemical burn. If you need anything in terms of support, please let me know!!!
Healing drool to all in need,
Jax and the hounds
PS - Please vote for JP on the SHAB calendar contest, please, please vote for him. It is not his fault he is a puppy store dog, and I highly believe he would have been a rescue dog or a throw away, due to health issues, had Mom not brought him to us.
