[Dailydrool] basset running away and names

Well yes a humane soc told me bassets are kept not returned. However we got 
Dazey back
a few times and one son said 'don't worry they'll bring her back in a week'. 
(not funny)  They keep
them,.,.,..Got her spayed - that was that.  Actually sons kidnapped a basset 
walking by for the
weekend.  Owners were looking for her (phoned for missing bassets)so they do 
keep them.
Another basset  ended up two towns away and they found her driving around 
from Calgary
I Spent a fortune and got so good at finding her I even got a cockateil back 
by advertizing on
radio.He was a neighborhood away.  And one report when dazey was about 3 she 
was classified on the found list aS A 'MIDDLEAGED BASSET. She must have 
heard cuz she never ran away again
Becky usually found her way home - amazing but DAZEY miles away taking a
spike with her from one good samaritan and a guy just walking into HS wiath 
her when I called in a.m.

Basset names. My mom died at 92 - one day before son came in with box with a 
wee
white head in it.  No family argument she was called Miss Becky- after my 
mom Rebecca so
now my mother has a basset ATB and a great granddaughter   named after her
I know she'd love the ggd but basset not sure however I think it is a 
supreme compliment
Our former premier's wife also called her dog that Ralph gave her when cat 
died -  after her MOM too!!!!!
My other first basset was called OOPSYDOOPSYPOOPYDAZEY  AKC - dazey for 
short the runaway!
