[Dailydrool] Update on Miss Poppy

The vet called with preliminary test results on Poppy's biopsies.  The good
news is that the suspicious lump is not cancer and is probably just scar
tissue from the huge lump she had removed in January.  The bad news is that
she definitely has lymphoma and it's at least stage 3.  We're still waiting
to see what kind of cells are involved.  Thursday she's having an x-ray and
ultra sound to see if it's spread.  The likely treatment will be chemo.
 They tell me that chemo for dogs is entirely different than it is for
people.  We're going to stick with our local vet and not drive the 3 hours
each way to the state veterinary hospital.  I'm sure the care will be the
same and I know Poppy wouldn't like the long car trips.  At 11'ish, our goal
is to keep her feeling as good as she can.  Thanks for the drool messages
and keep it coming.  She's definitely her "barky" spunky self and has no
idea that she's got anything wrong with her.  I do notice her sleeping a bit
more, but the appetite is great.  Hopefully we'll get lots of quality time.
