I just want to thank everyone who sent a card to the herd's Veterinarian, Dr. Schatz as he is very delighted about getting the cards.  At first he was puzzled.  The first card he got was from the Chase family, and the address was VT.  It puzzled him to no end, thinking it was from one of his former clients who may have moved.  How many pets in this family, 14, 16?  Anyway, despite checking his client history and even doing a google search, he could not figure out why he got this card.  Next day, a couple more cards arrived, Canada, VA???????  Then on Sat. one of the cards he got said, "Thank you for taking care of the Chazey hounds", and the light bulb was on.  He called me on Sat, but I didn't get to speak with him until Monday, and still more cards arrived, and I believe he is truly pleased and appreciates the cards.  So thank you so much to all who have sent them to him.  He really is the herd hero.
I also nominated Jr's trainer/coach, but she was so distracted with running the match this weekend, she probably hasn't even read her mail in days.  Ginny loves bassets, and she had a tri-state rescue for many years despite her husband's being allergic.  She now has a Havenese, a hypo allergenic dog.  When Pierre went into the ring yesterday, one of the assistants commented that bassets were Ginny's favorite breed, to which I replied, no, now it is Havenese, but the assistant respond, "no, it will always be bassets."
I shout out a collective "I Love You All" to the Daily Drool community.  I know I have been flaky at times, the stress here can be unbelievable at times, but this is life.  We all have ups and downs, and I am grateful to have a place to vent, get understanding, and to collectively share joy all around.  Thank you for being my extended family.
JP had a follow up exam with his eye specialist, and he is looking good.  Recheck in 6 months.  Sigh of relief.
Jr. is super cranky.  Home all day after a big high of attention yesterday.  I think he will be going to visit Mom tomorrow.
