Yep I agree with the slinky bit for a basset.
What I did was buy a pair of pants for dogs for
the coming in heat bit. They're sort of plastic and put a ppad in and it seemed to stay that way.
Bassets are the most wiggly and badly built animals.
Hope it works
Becky wore them and I have moved so often I have no idea where anything is.
