OK, folks, who's been thinking about needing a puppy in their lvies!
OMBR (Arkansas) has a litter of 8-week-old half-basset puppies, and
THREE of them are still available!  I've been fostering them; they are
all happy and healthy and have lots of personality!  None of them seem
like they're going to get very big - perhaps not even as big as their
momma Sally, who weighs 35 pounds.

The three still available:

Fergus - looks very bassety,with lovely long ears and lots of extra
skin, except he's all black and tan (like a dachshund or Doberman).
Fergus is more laid-back; while playful, he's usually the first one
ready for a cuddle, or to come back to the x-pen for a nap. When you
pick him up to pet him, he grunts these little squeaky grunts - very
adorable.

Huck:  Huck is marked like an open tri-color basset - white with black
spots and brown eyebrows.  He has shorter ears and longer legs.  He is
very sturdy, fast, and adventurous - he and Fiona are the first ones
to check out a new place, dog, or person.  He is almost too "busy" to
do much cuddling at this age; he always wants down, to go off to the
next thing!  He is very sweet-natured; his tail never stops wagging.

Fiona:  Fiona is the only girl, and the littlest pup.  Perhaps because
of that, she is the fiercest of them all; none of her brothers mess
with her!  She loves to hide under furniture and leap out to ambush
her brothers as they go by.  She carries around toys as big as she is,
wagging her tail the whole time.  Fiona also loves to be cuddled; she
will tuck her face under your chin, then reach up to lick your ear.
She is very clever, and would do great in agility or obedience.

Their adoption fee will be $100, plus a $50 spay/neuter deposit that
