Just a reminder for those of you who like an alternative to the Football
Super Bowl. This year there are at least two versions of the Puppy Bowl to
watch and get your basset fix. There is the Animal Planet station Puppy
Bowl starting at 3pm and the Twin Cities (TC) Puppy Bowl which will be on
the web http://twincitiespuppybowl.com/ . The TC puppy bowl was filmed in
Minnesota and two Basset Buddies Rescue (BBR) foster dogs were selected to
participate. Little Obi-wan was born only a few weeks after his mom Pauline
arrived in foster care. Pauline was among 199 dogs rescued in ND from
terrible conditions. Obi-wan is a striking basset mix. He has a coal black
coat with a touch of white. Fred, the second BBR representative is 12 yrs
old. He was chosen to be one of the senior referees. Fred came into rescue
when his senior owner could no longer care for him. All the puppies and
dogs in the TC bowl are from rescues. Obi-wan just got adopted last weekend
and Fred is in a very loving foster home. Please cast a vote for Obi-wan as
MVP to help raise funds for BBR, the basset rescue serving Wisconsin,
Minnesota, and northern Illinois.
Lisa and the MN Woofers,
Ella Marie, Hank, Copper, foster Molly and Sidney (ATB)
