[Dailydrool] Letting the Hounds In . . .

It seems that it would be simple to Let The Hounds In -- just open the door
and they come inside. HAH!

Tonight, Bill grilled salmon steaks outside. We live in central Virginia,
and we had a measly inch of snow this morning, but that makes our deck
slippery as a skating rink! So, Bill was very concerned and shoveled off the
snow-dust this morning so he wouldn't kill himself this evening when he
cooked the fresh salmon I bought yesterday. He grilled it, and it was
delicious!

When Bill brought the salmon back inside after it was grilled, he noticed
that the sliding door between the kitchen and the deck didn't shut quite
right. We hadn't gone out that way in several weeks because it's been too
cold, and he thinks the door settled or got off-kilter somehow. So, to keep
the cold air from rushing in, he put packing tape all around the edges.
Problem solved for now. Yeah, right!

As usual, Frank and Tina licked the dinner plates after we had dinner, then
they both went outside for their 7:00 pee. In about 5 minutes, Frank had
peed, checked out the grill, and was knocking at the back sliding door,
which is now Taped Shut ! So Bill went around to the door off the living
room, and called and begged Frank to come that way. Frank came inside, and
not 3 minutes later, we heard a knock at the taped-shut door. Tina was done
and wanted to come in, so BIll went out the other door, and called and
begged for Tina to come the other way. She came dancing over, what's the
problem...!!

It's never as easy as it should be...
