[Dailydrool] DD Day - Hoss Kurland

Every night I have a ritual - 
As I sing the hounds to sleep with the When you wish upon a star off key  
rendition, I move throughout the barracks and tuck in this hound, wink at 
that  one, bellyrub another - and as water bowls are filled, bodies tucked in 
and all  settles down for the night, I slowly turn off lights until finally 
in the  grooming room where the oldsters lounge on their beds, couch, under 
foot (you  get the drift) my last chore before turning out the lights is to 
advance the DD  calendar to tomorrow - and lo and behold there he is in all 
his glory.

I don't know if Kim or Rob will post, but Hoss is a Daphneyland Alumni and  
seeing his wonderful belly gave me smiles and tears - tears for such a 
short  span of total love and adoration from his forever family, smiles for the  
enormous pawprints he left on their hearts.  So big infact that Ruby is now 
 gracing their couch, their home and their lives.  The legacy of Hoss the  
Handsome lives on forever.
 
Tonight shall have candles burning for that love of a hound - the perfect  
man, Hoss Kurland.
