Since Bentley has only been there two weeks, is it possible that before he
arrived he was treated with a different flea and tick medication than you
use?  Or maybe he was bathed using a shampoo that has medication in it, or
dipped for fleas?  Since it is affecting both you and your daughter, and
your other dog does not bother either of you, I would bet it is something
like that, a chemical you are not used to.  Give him a couple of good baths
with the dog shampoo you normally use, then use your regular flea stuff, and
see if that cures it.  Bet it will.  Hope so anyway!
